TESTIMONIALS

I have always been quite independent, currently owning two businesses while raising two children but, when I had quadruple bypass surgery and was diagnoses with Type II Diabetes it was more than I could handle alone. I am alone in medical crisis such as these and it debilitated me for many months.

I am thankful for Stephanie because she was there for me before my surgery, while I was in the ICU. She consulted daily with all the doctors and nurses involved in my care, she was composed and took charge of my insurance transactions, scheduled follow up doctors appointments and rehabilitation sessions, and helped me learn all my prescriptions.

Looking back at the turmoil and disruption, Stephanie shined in her steady control and guidance during my hardest of times. I am so thankful for her leadership actions under fire.

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer in the winter, I began to research the most effective treatment options and a facility that would help me better understand my diagnosis and the treatment care plans; both were very important to me. In late summer I found a very special radiation center. I say special because I found more than just the clinical expertise I wanted, I also found Stephanie Capanna who was my care coordinator. She was both knowledgeable and was my advocate through the entire process.

Stephanie was the first person I found after searching for six months that actually stopped, listened to my concerns, and helped to provide clinical direction and personal understanding specific to what was important to me. I endured 44 treatments over 9 weeks and never felt like Stephanie left my side. She remained positive, professional, caring and maintained an interest in my needs as I went through a very difficult time.

I really do thank God for her, and would not be overstating my appreciation by saying she helped me recover faster and maintain a positive attitude through this crisis in my life. I would hope that more clinicians follow her example of care and personal attention.

Stephanie has been a valuable member of our team, from helping establish and grow the Immunotherapy treatment program, helping the patients and their families navigate treatment options, to her genuine compassion and commitment to patients.

I have often observed and received comments from patients that her kindness has made a difficult situation more bearable. It is my pleasure to work with an individual that makes my job caring for patients, and a patient's job of healing much easier.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Stephanie and can attest to her excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and patients.  No matter the situation she will take the time to put patients and their families at ease by answering any questions to make their visit a great one at our facility. Stephanie is the first point of contact for patients, they encounter her always with a smile and positive attitude; her outlook is infectious among staff and patients.

Her work ethic is admirable, detail oriented, organized, and always willing to lend a helping hand; she is a true asset to our team.

Stephanie stands out among the graduates of the MA in Health Communication program for two principal reasons: her creativity and her positive energy.

It is always a pleasure to work with Stephanie because she addresses challenges with an innovative mind and a happy willingness to do what is necessary to succeed. These qualities are what led me to recommend her for a private project with one of my colleagues at Rush University Medical Center.

In addition, Stephanie has an excellent instinct for including stakeholders as she completes complex projects, and a strong capacity for gathering resources. I would not hesitate to work with Stephanie again and recommend her to others.
